Founding membership & pricing
What does founding member pricing mean, and how long does it last?
Founding member pricing is a discounted rate for our first cohort of members, available only before public opening. Your founding rate is locked for 12 months from the day you join, for as long as your membership stays continuously active. If you cancel and rejoin later, you return at the standard rate then in effect.
What is the difference between the Half-Day, Day and Week passes?
Duration, mostly — all three give you an open desk with fibre WiFi and 24/7 power. Hot Desk Half Day Pass covers one block, morning or afternoon; Hot Desk Day Pass the full day; Week Pass six consecutive days. Meeting rooms are pay-as-you-go on all three, and a Day Pass takes 10% off room time booked for that same day.
Do prices go up once Ibadan fully opens, or are founding rates locked?
Standard pricing takes effect at public opening. Founding members keep their original rate for 12 months of continuous membership rather than being moved onto the new pricing — and you can see both your locked rate and the standard rate in the app, so there is never a surprise at renewal.
Can I try the space before committing to a membership?
Yes. Buy a single Hot Desk Half Day Pass or Hot Desk Day Pass and spend real time here first — both are one-off purchases with no ongoing obligation, and nothing rolls over into a subscription.
The space & infrastructure
How reliable is the power backup, really?
We run on backup power that switches over automatically, so your work isn't interrupted when public supply drops. During an extended outage we prioritise desks, lighting and internet over non-essential loads and keep the space open. If we ever expect a disruption we can't cover, members are notified in the app in advance.
What's the actual internet speed, and is it shared or dedicated?
Fast, reliable internet throughout the facility. Bandwidth is shared across the space, with member, guest and staff traffic kept separate.
What are the opening hours, and can I get 24/7 access?
We're open Monday to Friday, 9am to 7pm, and Saturdays 10am to 7pm. We're closed on Sundays. 24/7 access isn't available at launch — extended hours are something we'll introduce based on member demand.
Is there parking, and is it free?
Yes, on-site parking is available and free for members and pass holders. Spaces are first-come-first-served.
What's included in a desk booking — fixed seat or first-come-first-served?
A hot desk is first-come-first-served in the open-plan area, so you're booking access to a desk rather than one particular seat. Every desk carries its own code, so reception can point you at a free one when the floor is busy.
Booking, meeting rooms & printing
How far in advance can I book a desk or meeting room?
Desks and meeting rooms can be booked up to 90 days ahead through the app. Rooms are priced by the hour, and half-day or full-day rates are applied automatically whenever they work out cheaper than the hourly total.
What happens if I need to cancel or change a booking?
Cancel a desk booking before 11pm the night before and your day credit is fully restored; same-day cancellations use the credit. Meeting rooms cancelled more than 24 hours ahead return the full hours to your monthly allowance, and under 24 hours returns half. All changes are made in the app.
How does metered printing work, and what does it cost beyond included credits?
Plans that include print credits reset them with your billing cycle — one credit is one black-and-white page, and colour costs five. You upload from the app and credits are reserved before the job runs, then reconciled to actual pages. Beyond any included allowance, printing draws from a prepaid wallet you top up in the app, so you can never run into print debt.
Can guests or clients visit me at The Node?
Yes — guests are welcome in meeting rooms when you've booked one, and should sign in at reception. A guest who wants to work alongside you at a desk needs a Day Pass.
Membership flexibility & cancellation
Can I cancel or pause my membership, and how does refund/proration work?
You can cancel at any time, and your access runs to the end of the cycle you've already paid for. We don't pro-rate or refund partial months, and there's no pausing at launch — a monthly membership is simply not renewed.
What happens if I miss a payment?
Your access runs to the end of the cycle you last paid for, and then stops until you renew — that includes desk booking and the member WiFi. Nothing is lost in the meantime: your profile, booking history and print wallet balance are all preserved, and renewing restores access straight away.
Is there a minimum commitment period?
Passes are one-off purchases with no ongoing obligation, and Hustler and Builder are month-to-month. Founder asks for a three-month minimum in return for its rate.
Multi-location / network
Can I use another Node location with my membership?
Ibadan is our only location at launch, so every pass and membership covers it. Cross-location access arrives with our second site — it will be an upgrade on the account you already have, not a different product you have to move to.
When will Lagos/Abuja open, and can I reserve a spot now?
Expansion beyond Ibadan is planned, but we're not announcing dates until sites are confirmed. Join the waitlist and you'll hear first — founding members get priority when a new location opens.
Does my membership carry over automatically if I move cities?
Your profile, membership, history and wallet balance live on your account rather than on a location, so nothing is lost when you move. Once a second Node opens, access to it will be an upgrade on that same account.
Getting started
What do I need to sign up — is it instant?
Yes, it’s instant. Register in the app with your email and your membership is active straight away, so you can book a desk, top up your print wallet and get your Wi-Fi login the same day. There’s no application form and no waiting period.
Is The Node suitable for teams, or just individuals?
Both. Room Club gives a team a monthly block of meeting-room time, and teams often pair it with individual Hustler or Builder memberships for the desks. Larger teams should reach out and we’ll put something together.
Who do I contact if something goes wrong on-site?
Speak to any member of the front desk team — they can resolve most things immediately. For anything outside opening hours, message us on WhatsApp or email the address in the app's Help section.
Visiting & logistics
Where exactly are you?
5 Ekiti Close, Old Bodija, Ibadan, Oyo State. Full directions and a map link are in the app.
Can I store things overnight?
We don't have lockers at present. Desks clear at the end of each day, so please take your belongings with you.
Can I take calls at my desk?
Yes, calls and video meetings at your desk are fine. We don't have dedicated phone booths yet, so book a meeting room for longer or more confidential conversations.
Is food available?
Coffee, soft drinks and snacks are available to buy on site, and you can pay for them from the app. There is no kitchen, but there are places to eat within a short walk.
Is the space secure?
The facility is under CCTV coverage throughout. Access is limited to approved members and pass holders.
Can I use The Node as my business address?
Yes — Business Address lets you register your business here and have your mail handled, with no desk included. It also carries a member discount on the first two hours of meeting-room time each month, which is what most address-only members actually come in for.
How do I find out about events?
Everything runs through The Node app — events, workshops and announcements appear in the News feed with RSVP built in. Turn on push notifications and you won't miss anything.
